**WHAT TO EXPECT**
Pilot Build Operations is responsible for the delivery of Verification build (VB) vehicles in either a ground up state (complete new vehicle body) or donor condition (vehicle upgrade). All vehicles are handed over to Vehicle Engineering to a VB build plan and VB vehicles are used by the engineering community to develop and sign off their systems through to Final Engineering Confirmation (FEC). Pilot Operations Zone Leaders validate the BOM/BOP and record/validate closure, of issues raised whilst building the VB vehicles to an electronic VPS process deck.

The role is also to evaluate the effect on manufacturing and why the design affects the process and all issues are recorded against that level of part as the vehicles are built using the eCCAR process. Zone Leaders also record the RFT & Build progress electronically during the build process and validates VPS process ensuring it is correct regarding parts / tooling / torque.

Zone Leaders will be expected to coach / train / support all personnel seconded into the build zone to enable the learning of the new product content back to the Manufacturing environment.

**WHAT YOU’LL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR**

You will be part of a multi-skilled team of associates in the assembly of VB vehicles. These vehicles are built to meet attribute test requirements and in certain cases you will be required to be creative and innovative in facilitating customer needs which, will include the following:

- Assembly of vehicles including modifying components as required
- Removal and fitment of all interior / exterior vehicle systems / sub-systems / components to GSPAS / IPT
- Building / modifying components and vehicles working to engineering drawings, IPC procedure
- Commissioning built vehicles using a customised process for each build phase

**WHAT YOU’LL NEED**
- Must have an indentured /advanced modern apprenticeship or minimum level 3 qualification (Science, Technical, Engineering & Mathematics) relevant for this role
- Understanding of manufacturing tools VPS / TOPIX
- Pilot Operations Build Process
- Excellent body, interior, and exterior fitting skills.
- Ability to "profile" Closures / Panels to recognised standards.
- Excellent Chassis & Powertrain fitting skills
- Ability to fabricate, diagnose and repair vehicle faults
- Good knowledge of whole vehicle systems
- Flexible work, you will be required to work across all Jaguar Land Rover sites on a secondment basis.
- You must have a positive, flexible attitude and enjoy working in a team.
- Identify and feedback shortages / missing damaged or wrong parts / fixings
- Excellent Communication Skills.
- Ability to work to a build plan in a pressured environment
- Full UK Driving License.
- Working Knowledge of Vehicle Chassis, Trim & tooling
