As a Paint Sprayer, you’ll work in the Paint Shop or on the Final Line learning the key paint principles you’ll need to become a competent painter working to the highest quality standards.

**Panel pathway**

As a Panel Repairer, you’ll be reacting to quality concerns across the plant to maintain vehicle quality and repair standards.

Special Skills is a two-year scheme, that’s been specially developed by Nissan in conjunction with a local college which combines theoretical and practical skills. You will gain valuable insight into all aspects of your chosen specialism. You’ll also acquire the skills and knowledge you’ll need to work as a key member of our Special Skills teams here at Nissan.

- Our Special Skills apprenticeship offers you the chance to specialise in one of three crucial aspects of manufacturing at our Sunderland plant - vehicle repair, panel repair and paint spraying. Work on the line is incredibly fast paced and you’ll need excellent attention to detail to make sure each and every car we build reaches the high level of quality our customers expect from us. Through a combination of on-the-job training in the plant and day release at college (one day per week), you’ll gain the specialist skills you need to work with state-of-the art equipment across the plant and become an important member of our team.**What you’ll need**:
**Entry requirements - 4 GCSEs or equivalent**
- Mathematics (Grade A-D or 3 min)
- English Language (Grade A-D or 3 min)

OR
- Level 2 Functional Skills
- The ability to commute to and from the Nissan Sunderland plant SR5 3NS

**You will be requested to provide copies of your certificates before you start the apprenticeship - if your grades are predicted we will ask for certificates once you have your exam results.**

- L2 Lean Manufacturing Operative Apprenticeship and Hand Skills
- L2 Team Leading or L3 Improvement Technician

Applicants must be 16 or over at the start of the apprenticeship. The recruitment process is carried out at Nissan Sunderland Plant SR5 3NS and you must be prepared to attend assessments as required.
