**Background**

This role sits within the Academic Development & Innovation Team (ADI), part of the Faculty of Education, supporting the successful delivery of Learning, Teaching & Assessment (LTA) through the use of educational technologies. Working closely with the Senior Educational Technologist (Systems & Support Manager) to ensure that services are delivered effectively, and high-quality support is provided to both student and staff, enabling them to make the best use of these technologies.

**The Role**

So, whether you are an Educational Technologist looking for a new fast-paced challenge or an aspiring Educational Technologist with a strong background in supporting IT in education, now is a great time to join us here at LSTM, celebrating its 125th anniversary as the world’s first institution dedicated to the research and education of tropical medicine “making a positive difference” by creating “healthy lives across the world”.

**Key responsibilities are (but not limited to)**:

- To provide specialist 1st line support to staff and students
- To provide operational and administrative support for institutional educational technologies
- To provide staff and students with high quality training and development opportunities.
- An understanding of the role of educational technologies in supporting learning, teaching and assessment
- Experience in troubleshooting and documenting issues, through to a satisfactory resolution to the end-user(s)
- Experience of providing end user support and advice in the use of educational technologies
- Strong attention to detail, with the ability to deliver outputs consistent with expected standards in terms of productivity and quality
