- Sussex Clubs for Young People is a leading provider of youth clubs and activities across East and West Sussex, Brighton and Hove. Supporting a membership of over 140 youth organisations and directly delivering youth activities each week we have an impact on the lives of over 10,000 young people every week._
- We are looking for a Community Youth Club Leader will work with volunteers to create positive informal, educational and recreational activities chosen by and developed with young people aged 9 to 19 (or to 25 with special educational needs) rooted in their community that are safe, fun, welcoming and engaging._

**Job Purpose and Principal Activities**

The Community Youth Club Leader will ensure that any activity and/or provision is accessible and appropriate to young people regardless of gender, disability, race, ethnic identity, social background and sexuality.

The Community Youth Club Leader will manage any support workers, adult, and young volunteers, liaising with the local community and others to develop a responsive, effective and high-quality service, working alongside the area lead to ensure we are meeting the needs of the community within the session delivery.

Suitable qualifications and experience of youth work and / or running a youth club is desirable.

**Person Specification**
- Relevant experience of working with young people and an understanding of the particular issues they face.
- Ability to communicate effectively, verbally and in writing, with colleagues, parents and young people.
- Excellent time management skills.
- An understanding of the legislation pertaining to work with young people and safeguarding, and the ability to implement policies in relation to the job responsibilities.
- The ability to successfully motivate and engage young people in youth work programmes.
- Enthusiastic about working with young people and a willingness to positively engage with young people.

**Job Types**: Part-time, Permanent
Part-time hours: 15 per week

**Salary**: £11.05-£12.00 per hour
