**Main Purpose of the job**:
We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Warehouse Operative to join our dynamic team and assist in the smooth functioning of our warehouse operations. As a Warehouse Operative, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the efficient handling, storage, and distribution of goods. Your attention to detail, strong work ethic, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment will be essential to maintaining the overall efficiency of the warehouse.

**Key tasks Warehouse Operative**:

- Order Fulfillment: Accurately pick, pack, and prepare orders for shipment, ensuring that the right products are delivered to customers on time.
- Goods Receipt: Receive incoming shipments, inspect them for damages, verify quantities, and correctly label and store them in the designated areas.
- Inventory Management: Assist in regular inventory counts and maintain proper stock levels to facilitate smooth order processing.
- Packing and Labeling: Ensure all outgoing shipments are securely packed and labeled according to company standards to prevent any damage or misplacement.
- Quality Control: Conduct quality checks on products to ensure they meet the required standards and report any discrepancies or defects promptly.
- Equipment Operation: Operate and maintain warehouse equipment, such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks, adhering to safety guidelines at all times.
- Workplace Safety: Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines to create a safe working environment for yourself and your colleagues.
- Housekeeping: Keep the warehouse clean and organized, ensuring that aisles, shelves, and workstations are free from debris and hazards.
- Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with other warehouse operatives and team members to achieve daily targets and maintain a harmonious work environment.Any other reasonable duties/requests as required.

**Key results/objectives**:

- Physical Fitness: Capable of handling heavy lifting and manual tasks in a physically demanding warehouse setting.
- Attention to Detail: Display a keen eye for detail to accurately process orders and maintain precise inventory records.
- Time Management: Ability to prioritize tasks effectively and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Adaptability: Flexibility to work in various warehouse roles and adapt to changing priorities.
- Communication Skills: Good verbal and written communication skills to coordinate with team members and follow instructions.
- Organizational Skills: Demonstrate excellent organizational skills to maintain a tidy and efficient warehouse layout.
- Initiative: Proactive approach to work, with a willingness to take on additional responsibilities when required.
- Safety Awareness: Knowledge of warehouse safety guidelines and commitment to adhering to them at all times.
- Previous Experience a minimum of 2 years.
- Education: A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
- 100% compliance with Health & Safety Policy
- including but not limited to use of PPE

**Job Type**: Permanent

- Berkeley, GL13 9UQ: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

**Experience**:

- Warehouse experience: 1 year (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

- Driving Licence (required)
