**We are looking to recruit a Stores/Yard Person to join our busy workshop based in Dalwood, near Axminster.**

Reporting to the Workshop Manager, the role is predominantly focussed on:

- Managing stock and assets in the stores and yard

The ordering of stock, materials and machinery as necessary / Maintaining and improving good supplier relationships / Assisting in the stock taking of garden machinery, consumables, clothing and materials and being an integral part of the annual stock take
- Managing and recording tool, consumables (including PPE and uniform), and machinery allocation from stores

Accurately recording, issuing and monitoring the distribution of assets and stock within the workshop / Effective and accurate use of Excel and Google Spreadsheets / be able to demonstrate strong communication skills and ensure processes are followed by colleagues / Launder and prepare returned uniform for reissue
- Other Duties

Loading vans and off loading inbound deliveries using telehandler (training will be provided) / maintaining a safe working environment including carrying out 'DIY' type repairs and maintenance both in buildings and in the yard / any other relevant and reasonable tasks

Necessary skills and attributes:

- Must possess strong communication skills and be able to work alongside other workshop staff (Mechanics and Workshop manager), ideally carrying out basic machinery maintenance and repair tasks
- Past experience of working in a fast paced stores environment
- Basic computer skills specifically in the use of Word, Excel and Outlook
- An appreciation for site Health and Safety is required and a tidy approach to the workplace is essential
- Must be approachable and friendly yet able to be strong regarding workshop protocols
- Full driving licence essential

**This role could suit full time (40.75 hours per week) or part time (28.75 hours per week), however a 07:00 start Monday to Friday is essential.**

**Salary depends on breadth of experience - expected £13- £14/hour + overtime.**

**Working out of our main branch workshop in Dalwood, Axminster**

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: £13.00-£14.00 per hour

Expected hours: 28.75 - 40.75 per week
