**Role Purpose**: To carry out inspections and maintenance on Substation equipment on our Low Voltage, High Voltage and Extra High Voltage Network. This includes Electrical Switchgear, Transformers, Busbars, Isolators and Protection Systems.

**Core Responsibilities**:

- Plan outages without Control Management System
- Operating on the network as required
- Issuing safety documentation
- Oversee and ensure maintenance of equipment up to and including 33kV
- Carry out and report on inspections
Maintain accurate reporting of substation equipment

**Requirements**:
**Core Competencies**:

- Proficient in the use of Productivity and Collaboration Software such as Microsoft Office, Microsoft Teams, SharePoint etc. across multiple platforms such as smart phones, tablets, laptops etc.
- Excellent communication, including ability to adapt communication styles and outstanding listening skills with ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
- Strong interpersonal skills with demonstrated ability to use own initiative as well as work collaboratively as part of a team.
- Strong knowledge of ESQCR
Confidence in planning works within budgets and timeframes

**Experience and Qualifications**:

- Full UK Driving Licence (maximum of 3 points)
- Experience as an Electrical Plant Fitter maintaining equipment up to and including 33kV
- Senior Authorised Person (SAP) at 11kV & 33kV essential
- Experience in oil handling and waste oil consignments
Experience in planning work

- The role is based out of our Head Office in Swindon however with regular travel Nationwide and yes this will include over-night stays on occasions, however we will make this as cosy as possible and will provide a hotel and food as required.
- Permanent, full time position working 37.5 hours a week; exclusive of travel time.
- We will be offering a basic annual salary between £35,000 and £45,000 depending on experience; plus paid travel time on top of this.
