Ornithology Consultant

**About The Role**:
We’re looking for ornithologists to join our growing Marine Consultancy team. You will be working on a variety of projects in terrestrial, intertidal, and offshore environments across the UK and further afield. As a consultant, you will assist with the preparation, writing and delivery of high-quality reports and proposals for clients across both private and public sectors. You will also work on field and desk-based surveys, collecting and analysing bird data to use in baseline characterisation, EIA and HRA projects.

**About you**

**Essential**
- 1-2 years relevant work experience
- A degree in a relevant discipline (e.g. ecology, biology, environmental sciences)
- To be familiar with UK / Irish birds, their identification, and behavioural characteristics
- Proficient writing, data handling and communication skills
- Passion for ornithology
- Attention to detail
- Proficiency in Excel

**Desirable**
- Familiarity with GIS software packages (e.g. QGIS or ArcGIS) is desirable
- A full UK car driver’s licence
- Knowledge of R is desirable
- Knowledge of statistics is desirable
