**What you’ll be doing**:
Reporting directly to the Technical Property Team Manager, you'll provide technical handling and oversight of claims requiring DR&R activity. You'll control incurred costs whilst delivery a great customer journey.
- Manage all DR&R claims to settlement, including standard and complex Home & Commercial cases within handling authority or on referral
- Maintain your own tasks & activities within agreed SLA's, whilst supporting the department and business to achieve SLA's
- Collaborate with the Property Team and Loss Adjusters, delivering optimal DR&R solutions
- Accurately capture and record information correctly onto applicable systems, to ensure records correctly reflect the actions taken and recovery outcome
- Identify and manage complaints in line with the regulatory requirements and timescales
- Identify and escalate trends and opportunities that would improve the overall performance of the team
- Identify, own and manage the risks involved in running our business, appropriate to this role, in line with Direct Line Group risk framework

**What we’re looking for**:

- A background in loss adjusting, or commercial & domestic claims handling
- Knowledge of liability investigation, settlement, claims quantum, reserving and claims recovery
- Knowledge of insurance principles and practice
- Knowledge of DR&R, and building/content scoping
- Knowledge or experience of fraud investigations
- Knowledge of Health and Safety procedures specific to Asbestos and Mould remediation
- BDMA Accreditation (advantageous)
- British damage management association qualified or a building restoration background (advantageous)
