Assistant Gardener

We are looking for a gardener/horticulturist to join our team to assist on regular garden and grounds maintenance work, seasonal pruning/trimming of hedges and shrubs. The experienced gardener should be able to work as part of a team on larger projects, whilst also being able to work on their own on various different maintenance tasks.
- Applicants must have at least 2 years experience in horticulture or soft landscaping.
- Minimum of an RHS Level 2 or similar qualification OR a proven record of maintaining grounds to a high standard.
- PA1/PA6 qualification would be an advantage.
- Must be experienced in the use of petrol machinery such as ride on mowers, hedge-cutters and strimmers.
- Personal attributes must include the want to provide a high quality finish to all work carried out and have a keen eye for detail.
- Positive attitude towards their work in all weather conditions, whilst being polite and approachable in nature.
- Full-time or Part-time self-employed position with competitive rates of pay depending on applicants experience.
- Applicants must be hard working in all weather conditions and flexible with working hours.

Company uniform, PPE and tools will be provided.

Further training can also be provided in Horticulture.

**Salary**: £11.50-£15.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 40 per week

Schedule:

- 10 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
