Are you an established Buyer with experience in Manufacturing / Engineering? Are you looking for an exciting new challenge?

**What will the role involve?**
- Procure parts and services within sufficient lead-time to ensure on-time build for customers
- Place and expedite orders using SAP and IUNGO software
- Deal with supplier enquiries and invoice queries
- Negotiate prices and long-term contracts
- Manage supplier performance and develop existing / new suppliers, including a strategic supplier base from within BCC
- Build a strategic plan within your category area to deliver cost downs and lead time reduction initiatives
- Ensure optimum quality levels are maintained and improved within your area
- Work closely with the planning team and minimise supply risk and inventory exposure
- Approve POs for release in SAP
- Deputise for the European HPM Procurement Manager when required, including attending meetings with Group Directors and presenting departmental KPIs

**Ideal Skills & Experience**:

- Proven Purchasing experience within an engineering/production environment driven by challenging deadlines
- Strong negotiation skills coupled with good Excel and data analysis ability
- Good understanding of structured procurement processes and systems (SAP strongly preferred)
- Ability to effectively manage multiple priorities
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- CIPS qualification
