**Role Overview**

We have a great opportunity for an experienced software engineer with proven C / C++ programming skills. Our client values good software engineers and want their engineers to be proud of the code they produce and have a desire to continuously improve.

This position is working for a global leader in connective technology, you will be joining their new Open-Source Software group, working alongside some outstanding technical minds to enable new architecture in projects such as system control and driver developmentfor a variety of target markets.

As well as the technical work of writing patches to implement new functionality, improve performance and enable new architecture, you will enjoy working as part of the wider open-source community.

**Required Skills and Experience**:

- Proven commercial experience of writing low-level C and/or C++ code
- Passion for open-source development
- Desire and ability to work as part of a team

**"Nice To Have" Skills and Experience**:

- Experience of open-source working practices
- Knowledge of Android, Java, Python, compilers, Chromium, Linux kernel, Security, cryptography

**Interview Process**

There will be just the one stage interview in place for this role, comprising of an interview with the team, and a technical coding exercise. The interview process will take no longer than two hours.
