Job overview and Key Accountabilities
- Process the day to day capital transactions within the Oracle Projects and Fixed Assets subledgers.
- To work in collaboration with teams both locally and across location to ensure the day to day operations are processed within agreed timeframes.
- To support month-end activity including reporting, reconciling and analysis to be used by the Finance Business Partners and the business to inform financial decision making.
- Be an integral part of the team and help deliver the business outcomes.
- Work as part of the team to process and reconcile between various systems ensuring accuracy and timeliness and proactively interfacing with the Heathrow project teams to resolve any queries and ensure process compliance.
- Actively work with Project to Retire (P2R) Process and transformation team to identify and implement process improvements.
- To ensure all processes and controls are updated and followed.
- To contribute to core business drivers through the BSC Balanced Business Scorecard framework and operational performance mechanisms.
- To contribute to the timely data capture of BSC operational performance measurements in order to validate operational efficiency and effectiveness.
- To proactively identify and support the implementation of continuous improvement opportunities in order to enhance operational performance standards.

Principle accountabilities

**Customer**
- Maintain communications with key customers and business areas and continuous nurturing of relationships to ensure centre of excellence is maintained and continue to provide a value-add service to the Business.
- Ensure regular communication and engagement between Heathrow and the BSC and taking actions and where possible with the view to establishing an integrated single team across the two locations for the business.

**People**
- Develop and maintain functional and systems related knowledge through regular knowledge sharing and up-skilling with appropriate policy and process owners.
- Ensure that current and valid knowledge gain is captured into knowledge management framework and fed into appropriate training documentation.

**Process**
- Ensure timely and accurate completion of all projects and fixed asset transactions
- Review all reconciliations and manage the capital month end close process
- Process manual journals to ensure the accuracy of financial data
- Perform analysis, monitoring and reporting of financial and non-financial information
- Reconcile financial and non-financial transactions ensuring data integrity
- Provide Analysis and Reporting for month end on agreed processes
- Build relationships with Business Partnering team in Heathrow
- Investigate and resolve any queries in a professional and timely manner to ensure strong and effective relationships
- Flexibility required to multi-skill across transactional service duties.
- To ensure that any systems and procedures introduced are effectively implemented and adhered to and escalate any continuous improvement opportunities and implement where appropriate.

Qualifications and Experience

**Previous Experience**
- Accounting and reconciliation experience essential
- Project & Fixed Assets knowledge desirable
- Part qualified accountant desirable (CIMA, ACCA or other if applicable)
- Knowledge of Oracle Applications would be advantageous
- Advanced Excel Skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills, with ability to communicate effectively at all levels of stakeholders both written and verbally, including ability to influence and persuade others
- Strong organisational skills, with ability to plan, prioritise and work to deadlines
- Professional in approach and dedicated to high standards, with excellent attention to detail
- Flexible, self-motivated team player, with ability to work on own initiative and without close supervision
- Ability to adapt and embrace change in a fast-paced changing environment
