**We are searching for a Playgroup Facilitator**

We are searching for a Playgroup Facilitator to help our little friends to grow, learn and flourish at our weekly morning playgroups; BS3 Toddlers runs from **9 - 10:30 and Toddlers and Grandparents from 10:45 - 12:00 every Wednesday during term time only**.

**Who we are **

BS3 Community Development is an independent charity working across two sites in Southville and Bedminster: The Southville Centre and the Chessel Centre. Our charity aims to improve the lives and well-being of people who live and work within the BS3 postcode and we are looking for our newest team member to help us achieve this goal.

Our weekly playgroup sessions are suitable for younger ages. A range of fun activities including crafts, singing and sensory play.

**We are looking for **

We are looking for someone who enjoys the company of others, who is happy to get messy, to sing songs, to dance and laugh. You will be passionate about providing little people and their carers with a secure, warm, and caring environment. We are looking for someone who can bring new concepts, ideas, and passion to their work, helping to bring variety to our Wednesdays.

**As a Playgroup Facilitator you will**:

- Develop and prepare engaging sensory activities for the group participants.
- Set up of toys, equipment, and safe play spaces for children and their guardians.
- Check all equipment is clean and safe and is replaced if broken or no longer suitable.
- Ensuring the space is clean, safe and welcoming to all users.
- Providing support and direction for volunteers
- Display a welcoming and engaging attitude with parents and guardians, to support their enjoyment of the space.
- Signpost families to BS3 Community Development events, services and contacts where applicable.
- Work with the wider communities team to plan events or special activities when needed.

**HOURS**:5 hours term time only, contract permanent

**RATE OF PAY**: £2,430.70 per annum, £10.90 per hour.

**QUALIFICATIONS**:DBS required for this role

**CLOSING DATE**:11.59pm (23.59) on Monday 12 February 2024.

**SAFEGUARDING NOTE**:As this role is working in a “regulated activity” according to the Safeguarding Vulnerable Groups Act 2006, the successful applicant will require an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Certificate (DBS).
