To facilitate the work of the Trust Nursing Strategy groups & Clinical Governance initiatives linking to Acute & Emergency Care. Representative for Acute & Emergency Care at the Education & Service Advisory Group (ESAG), linking University Education providers & the University Hospitals Sussex NHS Trust. Member of Network Practice Educator group, ensuring cohesive work in the Acute & Emergency Care areas. To lead on the delivery and provision of statutory and mandatory training required by nursing staff working in the acute floor.

Schedule training plans, regularly enter data on a computer database and keep accurate data records according to Trust policy. To work within the Code of Professional Conduct at all times & adhere to health & safety legislation. To be an active part of the senior nursing team in the Emergency Department and acute floor as a whole To undertake the roles and responsibilities of the senior nurse on duty in the absence of the Matron To be the lead nurse for the shift when required.
