**Hours**: Mon to Fri - 8am to 4.30pm

**Job Vacancy Available**:
We are looking for a Junior Production Operative to join our friendly team here at Bytec on a full time basis. The role will consist of both mechanical and electromechanical assembly using basic hand tools to assemble mobile workstations, roll stands, mounting solutions, battery systems along with a whole host of products.

Experience not essential.

Full job role training will be provided. This position is a junior entry-level role and could be ideal for someone wanting to start out a career in manufacturing.

You will be based at our newly refurbished facility in Washington, West Sussex approximately 15-20 min drive from Horsham and Worthing.

**Requirements**:

- Valid UK driving license
- Educated to GCSE level with passes in English and Mathematics
- Basic understanding of identifying and using hand tools (not essential)
- Interest in mechanical / Electronic engineering & assembly (not essential)
- Previous Soldering and wiring skills ideal (but not essential)

Training days when available are offered to staff throughout the year such as: First aid, Dangerous goods, Health & safety, fire safety etc.

**Key responsibilities and accountabilities**:

- Mechanical & electromechanical product assembly following both written and verbal instructions
- Assist with wiring/cabling tasks using crimp tools and soldering skills
- Modification of parts for production
- Identifying & reporting design or supplier quality issues
- Assist with picking and packing orders within the warehouse
- Assist with organising and maintaining warehouse and production rooms
- Assist with Inspection of goods received
- Continuous improvement projects as directed
- Possible on site maintenance tasks as and when required

**Salary**: £20,000.00-£22,000.00 per year
