Content Writer

**Role Overview**

This is an exciting time to join the company and ideally suited for someone looking to grow within a successful and fast growing eCommerce business. Working with a great team, you will be someone who enjoys being in a fast paced digital environment, working collaboratively in a professional team. The role is primarily focused on writing Product Descriptions but other web content will be required.

**Role Purpose**

Capture the customers attention by delivering high quality, engaging content that motivates, inspires, educates, informs and sells.

**Responsibilities**
- Conduct research on relevant topics in order to develop original content and effective written information for customers
- Product centric copy must be accurate and aligned to eCommerce objectives
- Work closely with colleagues to produce quality content that generates commercial results
- Utilise all available data to evaluate and analyse performance and to inform research, reviewing and adjusting content as needed
- Develop an editorial plan to deliver regular, relevant and compelling content
- Manage the company blog and work with relevant colleagues to maintain platform maintenance
- Adhere to the latest search engine optimisation best practices
- Deliver high standards of work and attention to detail, writing at least 2,500 words per day

**Requirements**:

- Experience in a similar role
- Knowledge of SEO an advantage
- Knowledge of electronic equipment (TV, audio & kitchen appliances) preferable
- Knowledge of WordPress an advantage but not essential
- Ability to operate in a fast paced commercial environment, working with multiple tasks and priorities.
- Collaborative style, continually willing to support colleagues throughout the business.
