Job description:
**Based in Lifton, Devon.**

**Salary £34,000 per annum.**

We are a big brand manufacturer based in the small community of Lifton, Devon. It is serious business supplying the UK with the best custard and rice pudding amongst many other delicious desserts and we need employees who are committed to ensuring we cancontinue to do this on a daily basis. Our utilities roles are critical as a main part of the role is ensuring our water supply taken from the local river, is always available to support the smooth running of the factory.

Our Utilities Technicians have responsibility for efficient operation and monitoring of site boilers, effluent treatment, water abstraction and other ancillary equipment; you’ll play an integral part to the operational infrastructure of Ambrosia.

**We’re looking for someone who can**:

- Ensure the utilities are successfully delivered; including day-to-day liaison, investigate problems, support, and assist with systems and plant modifications.
- Complete relevant documentation / record data in required formats, reporting data to required channels including anomalies to manager.
- Contribute to and help implement continuous improvement, to enhance quality, safety, efficiency, and waste reduction.
- Communicate daily with Engineering and Manufacturing to ensure utilities provisions are available for production requirements.
- Personally demonstrate and role model safe behaviour, help monitor contractor activities and ensure that safety issues are escalated promptly.

**The right person will**
- Ideally have experience in a site services environment, including effluent treatment.
- Have a proactive approach towards tasks and be used to working independently with minimum supervision whilst also being an extremely effective team player
- Be BOAS accredited for boiler house operations, or be willing to undertake the necessary training.
- Have gas safety level 2 (industrial) qualification.
