Logistics Administration Assistant

Eriez Europe designs, develops and manufactures industry-leading magnetic separation, metal detection, fluid recycling and vibratory equipment for over 80 industries. We are a multinational company with our European headquarters having been established in the Caerphilly/Bedwas area for over 50 years.
**About the Role**:
As the Logistics Administration Assistant, you will play an essential role in order to help the Logistics Team with daily functions, such as filing, booking, shipping, as well as other crucial tasks. This role reports directly to the Logistics Controller.
**Responsibilities**:
- Daily filing requirements
- Requesting daily transport quotes from forwarders and portals
- Booking and shipping UK and European orders
- Processing proof of export / import documentation for HMRC purposes
- Collating contract review documentation for shipment purposes
- Updating Excel spreadsheets for all shipping requirements daily
- Recording quotation data for cost analysis
- Invoicing of goods for shipment purposes
- Daily office duties as required
- Converse with customers and transport providers as required
**Requirements**:
- Microsoft Excel and Word
- Previous experience working within an office environment would be advantageous
- Ambitious and keen to learn the logistics process
- Knowledge of Sage (preferred, full training will be provided)
- Able to work on own initiative when required
**Salary**: From £20,000.00 per year
