**About the role**

We’re searching for a** Team Leader** to join our friendly and hard-working team at A2Dominion to ensure the delivery, management and development of high quality intensive housing management to customers and facilities management pertaining to buildings in accordance with contract specifications, relevant procedures and statutory obligations, enabling individuals to sustain tenancies by promoting independence, freedom and choice

**Key responsibilities**:

- To manage and lead on the delivery of a high quality intensive housing management and facilities management service to all customers.
- Monitor and report concerns regarding safeguarding issues or significant changes in the health and social circumstances of a customer in accordance with relevant policies and procedures.
- To line manage and support a team of employees, volunteers and student placements, specifically in the areas of:

- Absence and resource management
- Performance management
- Learning and development
- To ensure that tenancy agreements are upheld and where applicable building facilities management is carried out to a high standard including designated H & S checks, reporting of repairs and the general safety, security and cleanliness of buildings.
- Build effective partnerships with external agencies and other stakeholders in order to ensure delivery of the required support to customers and to promote and develop A2Dominion’s business aims and objectives.
- Develop and maintain an understanding of the needs of customers and of the operating environment, keeping abreast of developments in legislation and best practice standards in order to contribute to the development of the Specialist Housing strategy. To assist in the review of policies and procedures accordingly.
- Assist the Business Improvement Team in tender exercises and identifying future business opportunities.
- Engage in continuous professional development and reflective practice.
- High level of relationship skills: empathy, mutual acceptance, supportive and constructive challenge; positive expectation for the future.
- Professional and value led with integrity, inclusivity and respect for diversity.
- To participate in service escalation in the event of an emergency.

**More about you**:
You won’t necessarily have experience in this sector, as we recognise that transferrable skills and experience are just as valuable.

For example, you may be:

- Educated to GCSE level or equivalent in Maths & English (Grades A* - C)
- Experience of working in support, housing or care role for vulnerable people
- Experience of managing safeguarding issues
- Ability to keep accurate records and follow administrative procedures and data protection/confidentiality guidelines
- Experience of supervision and managing team performance
- Ability to network and build strong relationships with partner agencies, community and key stakeholders.
- Organisational skills, including time management and ability to meet targets
- Ability to communicate effectively at different levels.
- Awareness of professional boundaries and how to manage these
- Confident in dealing with distress and aggressive customers
- Ability to use IT packages and management information systems.
- You will need to have a ‘can-do’ attitude, at times rolling up your sleeves to help your team to get stuff done. No two days are the same in supported housing, and flexibility is the key
- You must have a full driving licence, together with a car available and insured for business purposes. Where you need to use this for business travel, mileage reimbursed at 45p per mile.
- You should be able and willing to work flexibly across similar Care & Support services (transport costs reimbursed) in support of colleagues elsewhere - remember, this works both ways
