We are looking for individuals with good clinical interpersonal and communication skills, who are willing and able to adapt to change and to work individually within their level of competence. The post holder will be expected to motivate others and be an excellent role model. You will work closely with the lead clinicians to improve operational efficiency and enhance the performance of the Urology and Continence service.

The post holder will support new ways of working that emphasises a more efficient and patient focused service and will work alongside the multidisciplinary team (MDT) towards the assessment, planning, diagnosis implementation and evaluation of patient care, as an autonomous practitioner with specialist skills, managing their own nurse-led outpatient clinics. These will include Trial without Catheter (TWOC), bladder retraining, patient education/catheter care, bladder instillations,, pelvic health, urodynamic diagnostic clinics & flexible cystoscopies (following appropriate training and assessment) and in collaboration with the urology team advise on appropriate treatment plans.

They may have or co-share responsibility for informing change and/or leading the on-going development of clinical practice and standards of care within the service, including the development of policies, procedures, protocols and guidelines in collaboration with multidisciplinary colleagues.

The post holder is expected to deliver, and evidence, a (65-90%) clinical component to their role and (10-35) % related to the other three pillars, namely Research and Audit, Education and Leadership and Management.
