**Job Summary**:
East Dunbartonshire Leisure and Culture Trust Libraries Service is looking for an outgoing and enthusiastic person to deliver excellent services to children, young people and families - bringing alive books, stories, songs and science for fun and learning.

You will be part of an ambitious team organising, delivering and supporting activities like class visits, BookBug sessions, Code Club, Minecraft Club, crafts and activity days within our libraries. Working closely with the wider library team you will also be helping to keep our children’s books and displays up-to-date, inclusive and attractive.

You should have recent experience of working positively with children, young people and families, and in partnership with other agencies and services. You will have excellent organisational, IT and communication skills and will be required to work effectively under pressure in a busy environment. You will be someone who enjoys variety from leading Bookbug sessions with parents and babies to using digital technologies as an element of children’s activities.

Some flexibility of hours within the basic pattern will be required to accommodate activities including Saturday and evening work. There may be a requirement to work in other locations in East Dunbartonshire to support the wider library network as required. This role is likely to involve periods of lone working.

This post could be worked effectively as two part-time posts.

Salary will be pro-rated for part-time hours

Should an employee leave in advance of the payment being deducted, the full amount will be deducted from the employee’s final salary.
