You’ll work within an inclusive and supportive environment where we make sure everybody feels welcome and included. And if there’s anything you’re not sure about, a colleague will be happy to answer any questions you might have. It’s how we all grow and learn.

**What you’ll do**

For the duration for your programme, you will be studying towards a level 4 Associate Project Manager qualification. Throughout your apprenticeship you will dedicate 80% of your time in work and 20% studying toward your qualification.

Project Coordinator responsibilities include working closely with a Project Manager to prepare comprehensive action plans, including resources, timeframes, and budgets for projects.

Work:

- Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation, plans and reports to present back to the team.
- Liaise with internal teams to assign tasks and assist with schedule management.
- Analyse risks and opportunities by monitoring working hours, plans and expenditures.
- Project issue management by using problem solving skills and taking appropriate actions to manage and correct the issue, should any arise.
- Be a key point of contact for all participants in the project as well as sharing any relevant communications.
- Assist in the project financial management process, including forecasting, monitoring, and tracking project finances.
- Ensure standards and requirements are met by conducting quality assurance tests.
- Support the Portfolio Management team in running and organising the portfolios.

Study:

- Dedicate one day a week towards studying for your Project Management Level 4 qualification.
- Liaise with your assigned mentor throughout the programme.
- Attend online workshops.

**What you’ll need**

As you can tell this exciting role will give you a lot of skills and knowledge, but we do have some requirements upfront. As well as a strong interest in project management you should be able to demonstrate the following.
- You will need to have achieved GCSE’s in Maths, English Language GCSE grade 4/ C or above. If you do not hold these grades in both English and Maths, we can support you to gain this by the time you complete your apprenticeship.
- You should have excellent time management and communication skills, as you’ll collaborate with clients and internal teams to deliver results on deadlines.
- You must also be confident in using computer software including Microsoft office.
- Confident with outgoing personality, able to collaborate with the team and wider GIS department.

Please note that for successful applicants, offers will be conditional on passing additional eligibility checks with our training provider which will include a Maths and English assessment and a review of any previous qualifications you hold.
