**Who are we?**

Pelham Homes Limited is owned by Nottingham Community Housing Association (NCHA) group, operating as a commercial company to carry out profit-making activities for the group. Our main activity is providing housing for sale - we aim to build 50 to 75 homesper year. Other activities include services to external clients, such as architectural design and project management.

**About the role**

As an Independent Director, you will work as a part of a team and be collectively responsible for ensuring we meet these values and our sales targets. With strong governance understanding, you will help us to maintain our financial viability and providea professional service, all whilst keeping our customers’ needs and demands in mind.

Within the role, you will oversee Pelham Homes development programme, contribute to the delivery of the Corporate Plan and approve, manage and monitor joint venture investments.

**About You**

You will be a values-driven person with an understanding of the commercial housing sector or financial management. You will demonstrate sound independent judgement, have an understanding of how a Board operates, and have the ability to work effectively ina team.

In addition to substantial sector experience, you will have a strong commitment and empathy with the values and objectives of Pelham Homes, excellent communication skills and clear understanding of the challenges faced by communities and the housing sector.
