Wellfield School are currently looking to expand our pool of casual invigilators to join our existing team.

Successful applicants will be expected to assist the Exams Officer, in the supervision and setting up of examinations and to ensure that guidelines and regulations relating to the integrity and security of examination papers and procedures are followed during examination sessions.

Experience of working within an educational setting would be desirable although not essential, as full training will be provided.

You will need to be in a position to adopt a flexible approach to your working arrangements to be able to fit your availability around the examination timetable.

**Purpose**

**Job Description: Exam Invigilator**

Assist in the setting up and supervision of examinations, ensuring that guidelines and regulations for the integrity and security of the examination papers and procedures are followed.

**Base**:Consett Academy/North Durham Academy/Wellfield School

**Responsible to**:Data & Exams Co-ordinator

**Main Responsibilities**

Assist in the collection of examination papers and related information from the Examinations Office.

Assist in the secure transportation of exam papers to and from the venue.

Assist in ensuring examination papers are correct and are in accordance with attendance registers and seating plans.

Ensure the examination room is set up in accordance with the seating plan.

Assist in recording attendance on the seating plan.

Closely monitor students throughout the examinations to prevent malpractice and disruption.

Assist with emergencies, ensuring centre policies/procedures and JCQ regulations (illness, fire alarms) are followed.

Collect in scripts and question papers, ensuring that they are collected in correct order.

Ensure the exam room is tidy in preparation for the next examination.

Ensure you are familiar with the JCQ instructions for conducting examinations booklet.

Undertake any training relevant to the post.
