We are looking for a highly motivated Project Planner to join our team. Reporting to the Head of Operations, you will play a key role in planning production to ensure that delivery dates are achieved on time and in full. You will work closely with internal departments including sales, technical sales, engineering, purchasing and installation. You will be responsible for planning production, analysing information and providing reports to help the production team identify resource requirements, including labour and materials. This is a maternity cover role, expected duration 9-12 months.

**About The Role**

**Main Duties & Responsibilities**:

- Maintain, improve and take full ownership of production planning and scheduling within the business, in line with demand, material availability and production constraints.
- Issue daily production plans in line with business requirements.
- Produce reports detailing manufacturing and capacity requirements.
- Attend daily production meetings to communicate any planning related matters.
- Present detailed information relating to forecasted plans, highlighting any trends or problem areas.
- Work with the Purchasing Manager, review and maintain material supply in line with production requirements.
- Ensure all customer requirements are efficiently and effectively planned through the appropriate planning tools to achieve on-time delivery and to report on the status of any overdue orders.
- To create, expedite, defer or cancel production schedules.
- Create capacity load profile reports.
- Assist the Installation Manager in planning project installs.
- Liaise with sub-contractors & agree schedule.
- Schedule required in-house and external training for Production staff.

**Required Criteria**
- A good level of secondary education with a minimum of 5 GCSE’s (or equivalent) to include Maths & English
- Excellent communication skills which allow you to collaborate effectively with internal departments and external customers.
- An excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and/or Microsoft Project.

**Desired Criteria**
- Previous experience as a Production Planner within a manufacturing environment
- A proven background with MRP/ERP systems.
