Receptionist (Part-time) Maternity Cover 6-12 Months

At Alban Manor Nursing Home, we offer state-of-the-art facilities for up to 80 residents who may require nursing care.

We are looking for a motivated and hardworking individual to cover a 6-12 month maternity contract. You must enjoy working as part of a great team and having some fun too. We are currently seeking a Receptionist for Monday to Wednesday 9-5pm.

**CRITERIA REQUIREMENTS**:
The post holder must hold the relevant qualifications and or experience. It is necessary to have empathy with the elderly and have effective communication skills with all people involved in Alban Manor. A confident telephone manner and an ability to promote the Home is an essential requirement.

**DUTIES**:
**COMMUNICATION**:

- To handle a variety of customer service and administrative tasks and resolve customer issues with expediency.
- To demonstrate a proficiency in telephone and front-desk reception duties.
- To provide secretarial support to the Home Manager.
- To maintain the Complaints Register and bring outstanding complaints to the attention of the Matron
- To carry out general administrative duties as necessary.
- To deputise for the Administrator as necessary.

**RESIDENT MATTERS**:

- To ensure good communication is upheld with residents and relatives and that relevant notices are displayed throughout the Home and that a monthly newsletter is produced.

**PROPERTY MANAGEMENT**:

- To maintain clear and concise records (computerised and manual) and organise service contracts as necessary.
- To ensure that the necessary fire training, fire records are comprehensive and well maintained.

**STAFF MATTERS**:
4.1 To maintain the annual leave records of staff.
- To participate in the staff development programme, maintaining own statutory/mandatory training needs.

**GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Communication - to be personally aware of how the Home’s communication systems operate and to be fully conversant with the Policies, Procedures and objectives.
- Quality Assurance - All staff are accountable for the quality of their own work and for the operation of the relevant parts of the quality systems
- Health and Safety To comply with the Company’s policies and procedures and have a duty to advise management of any situation that is deemed unsafe within the Home.
- Environment To show concern for the fabric, decoration, equipment and building.

- Confidentiality All members of staff are required to undertake that they will not divulge to anyone personal and/or confidential information to which they may have access during their employment with Alban Manor whether it is verbal, written or electronic, and ensure that unauthorised persons cannot access it.
