**Receptionist Vacancy RSPCA Isle of Wight branch** - _full time. _

**Number of Hours - 37.5 hours per week, including weekends.**

**Aims**

Acting as ambassador for the branch you are likely the first and last person all humans and animals interact with. You will coordinate reception duties, working alongside other reception support staff and volunteers.

**Tasks and responsibilities**
- To handle all incoming enquiries and appointments via the phone and face-to-face and to greet clients and team with positive and helpful attitude.
- Providing exceptional customer service and support the development of community engagement and assist in raising our profile in the community and beyond.
- Maintain visitor logs and receive and distribute supplier shipments
- To support of RSPCA Isle of Wight branch values.
- Foster team values and develop strong communication methods to deliver information to relevant departments and obtain updates as needed.
- To action all reception administration duties including coordination of Bohemia Boarding reservations and client/animal booking support.
- Maintain an organised, efficient and clean workspace and administration related areas.
- Duties will include filing, photocopying, scanning, updating and preparing animal & client records and adoption information packs and distributing incoming mail.
- Participating in the growth and maintenance of cloud based and computer related software programs and maintain accurate animal related records including intake, adoption, welfare and rehoming.
- To handle cash and card transactions and to reconcile daily/weekly banking.
- To develop a sound understanding of the isle of Wight Trading Company, Bohemia Boarding and to promote its value as an independent, small business and to coordinate accurate booking records and establish excellent client relationships.
- To ensure the work of the branch/centre is coordinated in a positive manner according to GDPR and branch health and safety policies and in compliance with risk assessment standards.
- To support branch volunteer programs including recruitment, training and development and retention and to ensure that all visitors are respected, valued and supported.
- Performing ad-hoc administrative duties as required
- To attend relevant training courses, as needed.

**Additional notes**

This role is people centric and the delivery of exceptional customer service, both internally and externally, is key to support the positive growth and development of the RSPCA Isle of Wight branch and Bohemia Boarding and to support the charitable aims of the organisation.

**Professional / technical qualifications**

**Experience and job knowledge**
- Previous reception skills essential
- Experience cash handling and banking

**Essential**

**Salary**: From £10.42 per hour

Expected hours: 37.5 per week
