**Your role**:
Arctech Innovation is seeking a Research Assistant to work in our Social Impact team. Reporting to one of our Trial Managers, you will play a key role in supporting a diverse range of projects based in the UK and internationally. You will be a dynamic, enthusiastic and detail-oriented individual with strong organisational and communication skills. Knowledge of the control of vector-borne diseases and an interest in public health would be an advantage.

**Main duties and responsibilities**:

- Review literature and write bespoke reports for client
- and grant-funded projects
- Conduct data entry and statistical analysis
- Communicate with members of the public via social media and in-person events
- Assist with preparation, completion and filing of study documents
- Liaise with administrative and support staff
- Source materials and equipment for experiments
- Assist with other administrative and research activities, including in the laboratory or insectary and with other divisions, where required

**Person specification**:
**Essential**
- Science degree in a natural or social science discipline or equivalent work experience
- Excellent communication skills in English
- Strong organisational and prioritisation skills, with excellent attention to detail
- Proven ability to juggle a high and varied workload whilst maintaining accuracy
- Good computer skills with a range of computer programmes
- Proven ability to work both independently and within a multi-disciplinary team

**Desirable**
- Experience writing reviews or reports
- Experience in mapping or data handling
- Knowledge of vector control tools, vector ecology and behaviour
- Interest in public health
