**Behaviour Mentor - Maidenhead**

**Primary and Secondary students aged 11-16 years old**

Do you want to build a career centered around helping people?

An exciting opportunity in Maidenhead has arisen for a Behaviour Mentor to join a specialist school for students with Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs and for those who have been excluded from mainstream education. Some of the students also havelearning disabilities alongside their SEMH needs. The position will be working 1:1 and with small groups of pupils with challenging behavioural needs and your role will be to build positive relationships with these students to encourage them to make positivechoices and to support them in learning how to regulate their emotions.

This is a full-time long-term position to start ASAP. The students with these mental health and special educational needs are aged 11-16 so running from KS3 to KS4. The successful behaviour mentor will be responsible for managing and de-escalating behaviour,whilst helping to build the students self-esteem and facilitate learning.

This is a really positive and nurturing environment that utilises therapeutic interventions to help each child fulfil their potential and overcome their barriers to learning. The school has a full-time educational psychologist on site as well as numerouscounsellors and the behaviour mentor will have the opportunity to shadow these professionals to learn more about these career paths.
