Credit Controller

An exciting opportunity to work within a team of 4 credit controllers and reporting principally to the Head of Credit and Revenue, the role will be a contributor to the company's accounts receivable team.
Key Tasks
- Review of daily incoming cash receipts, liaising with team's sales ledger clerk to assist on allocation of any unknown receipts
- Reviewing incoming cash for Anti-Money-Laundering guidelines ensuring we know source of incoming funds
- Keeping clear collection notes and diary of follow-up action points
- Speaking to internal client leads and managers to discuss fees raised and reporting any disputes to Head of Credit & Revenue, arranging monthly meetings with client leads and managers to discuss same
- Passing cases to our legal partners to obtain judgements
- To assist other credit controllers on their ledgers as and when required
- Raising client queries with Head of Credit & Revenue ensuring they are dealt with in a timely manner
- Producing monthly electronic pdf statements for partners / subsidiaries
- Manipulating data and assisting Head of Credit & Revenue in running monthly reports
- Administrative support for accounts receivable team
- Handling ad-hoc projects as they arise
REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
- Ideally experienced in a similar role for a professional services company
- Ideally experienced working for a Limited Liability Partnership (LLP)
- Good fluency in business correspondence
- Experience working in an internal accounts department and knowledge of our role within a business
- Experience with passing unpaid debt to solicitors to obtain judgements
- Understanding of Aged Debtor reports and how to prioritise workload
- Proven experience working towards team cash collection targets
- Good and demonstrable IT skills, adaptable to new software and experienced in Excel
- Be reliable, hardworking, and self-motivated with a confident and professional manner
- Ability to work to deadlines
- Good team working skills - able to bond into a hardworking, organised but lively team
- Support with Chartered Institute of Credit Management (CICM) development
