IT Specialist

**Our client is seeking a IT Specialist to joining their team in Chelmsford, Essex.**

**role description**

you will be responsible for the development, design and implementation of new or modified software and IT solutions. The role will also monitor and control the set-up of it equipment internally.

**duties & Responsibilities**
- set up workstations with computers and necessary devices
- check computer hardware to ensure functionality
- install and configure appropriate software and functions according to specifications
- Develop and maintain local networks, ensuring security and privacy of networks is set as needed
- provide orientation and guidance to users on how to operate new software and computer equipment
- organise and schedule upgrades, and maintenance without deterring others from completing their work
- perform trouble shooting to diagnose and resolve problems
- research, design and implement software programs, testing and evaluating their suitability to the business
- identify areas for modification in existing programs
- project manage the implementation and induction of new it software/programs in the business and ensure all delegates are trained and have comprehensive understanding of the system as required
- Any other duties as instructed by management
- Review, analyse, develop, and implement system change in a time manner

**person specification**
- Must possess a valid UK Driving Licence
- proven experience as an it specialist/ developer/technician or relevant position
- degree in computer science, engineering or relevant field desirable but not essential
- excellent diagnostic and problem-solving skills
- high attention to detail and desire to probe further into data
- excellent communication ability
- the ability to communicate clearly all IT solutions to all employees
- in depth understanding of diverse computer systems and networks
- good knowledge of internet security and data privacy principles
