The post holder will work as a core member within the Maternity Quality and Safety team.

Leading the delivery of the digital maternity transformation initiatives within University Hospital Morecambe Bay NHS Trust as set out nationally by NHSX and other national bodies also those defined in partnership with internal and external stakeholders.

Supporting the implementation and training of staff to effectively use the digital maternity record

Challenging existing ways of working to bring about service improvement and strive to ensure clinical IT systems deployed perform to the requirements and expectations of end-users.

Maintaining a high skill level and liaise with a wide range of staff at all levels including senior management, to achieve objectives and deliver the defined requirements as part of the national Digital Maternity programme.

Developing, creating and presenting monthly statistical reports to monitor performance maternity and neonatal dashboard within the Trust and the Maternity network. Identifying areas for research and development with complex audit develop methodology for analysis and/or interpretation of data

Assisting in data collecting and produce reports as requested

Responsible for data quality identifying data quality issues and responsible for fixes support Cerner training for new staff

Working closely with the wide multidisciplinary team in the maternity service and Care Group.

Working with staff from a variety of disciplines in the hospital and community settings to support staff to embed process new changes - Supporting the maternity unit with clinical activities during periods of unprecedented high activity

Representing the department at local and Trust wide meetings as required.

Ensuring excellent verbal and written communication, leadership and facilitation skills are essential.

We operate from three main hospitals-Furness General Hospital (FGH) in Barrow, the Royal Lancaster Infirmary (RLI), and Westmorland General Hospital (WGH) in Kendal, as well as a number of community healthcare premises including Millom Hospital and GP Practice, Queen Victoria Hospital in Morecambe, and Ulverston Community Health Centre.

FGH and the RLI have a range of General Hospital services, with full Emergency Departments, Critical/Coronary Care units and various Consultant-led services.

WGH provides a range of General Hospital services, together with an Urgent Treatment Centre, that can help with a range of non-life threatening conditions such as broken bones and minor illnesses.

All three main hospitals provide a range of planned care including outpatients, diagnostics, therapies, day case and inpatient surgery. In addition, a range of local outreach services and diagnostics are provided from community facilities across Morecambe Bay.
