**Job brief**

We are looking for a careful forklift operator to join our team. You will be operating our 3 ton counterbalance forklift and tele-handler forklift with the utmost care, ensuring efficiency and safety. Occasionally during busy periods, you may be required to move into a workshop production role.

You must be a consciences individual with experience in driving industrial vehicles. First and foremost, your ultimate goal will be to ensure stock is in the right place to achieve maximum efficiency.

You may also be required to operate woodworking machinery on occasions. Full training will be given in this instance.

**Responsibilities**
- Unload timber stock from incoming vehicles and stack them to assigned places.
- Verify incoming stock with purchase orders.
- Accurately measure, pick and package timber ready for delivery.
- Organise existing stock.
- Inspect forklift trucks to determine the need for repairs and guarantee safety by performing regular maintenance.
- Keep updated records of inventory and activity logs.
- Comply with company policies and legal guidelines.
- Help maintain a safe and orderly environment of the facilities.
- You are expected to carry out additional tasks and duties as required.

**Requirements**:

- Proven experience as a forklift truck operator.
- Attention to detail and familiarity with industrial equipment.
- Physically fit and strong, as the role will involve some heavy lifting.
- Valid training certificate to operate a counterbalance forklift truck.
