Path to Recovery, Drug and Alcohol Services provides community-based drug and alcohol services to Bedford Borough and Central Bedfordshire

The purpose of the job is to reduce drug and alcohol-related harms to individuals, families and communities, and empower service users to achieve a better quality of life and wellbeing and fulfil their personal ambitions for recovery. The post holder will
- put service users at the centre of everything they do, and consistently deliver a high-quality service that promotes and supports recovery in line with Trust vision and processes
- work to values that include self-determination, empowerment and choice for service users
- work in partnership with service users and empower them to draw on their individual strengths and assets, and set goals they would like to achieve in all aspects of their lives.
- deliver personalised and evidence-based interventions in one-to-one and group settings, and will optimise their interventions to achieve the best possible outcomes.

P2R is recruiting a full-time Band 5 recovery worker to work in the Bedfordshire addiction service, the role will be as part of the assessment team, this role is a dynamic and fast-paced role with many skills needed to successfully introduce people to the service by completing a thorough assessment of needs, identifying and actioning any risks as well as preparing SMART care plans and working with clients when they first enter treatment of substance misuse.
