Transport Planner

Since starting in 2006 we have become one of the region's most trusted courier companies & we work with all sorts of companies, from some of the UK's leading blue chip companies to small start-ups, in what is a fast paced and highly exciting market. As part of our continuing expansion, we are looking for a traffic planner to assist with our traffic team.
- Role:_
The role involves the day-to-day traffic management and administration of our busy fleet, processing bookings and liaising with customers and drivers throughout the day.
You will be trained on how to use our in-house booking system, how to process bookings and allocate drivers. In a short space of time you will develop a sound knowledge of UK general haulage.
You will need to have a confident and patient telephone manner and be able to solve work related problems in a short time frame, often dealing with several requirements & issues at the same time.
Experience of the transport industry is ideal, but not essential. You will need to be comfortable using PCs and the internet and have a good knowledge of Microsoft Office packages.
The job is fast paced and varied, with every day providing a fresh challenge and rewards. A calm temperament is an advantage.
- Hours:_
Working hours are 0830-1700 Monday to Friday, 30 minutes for lunch. Flexible rota’s and on call to be discussed as interview.

- Salary: 23,000 - 25,000_
- Holiday:_ 23 days plus Bank Holidays.
- Pension:_ you will have the option of enrolling in the company’s NEST pension scheme
**Salary**: £22,000.00-£25,000.00 per year
