**Senior Residential Support Worker (18-21 Supported Living)**
**LOCATION: London, Stratford**
**SALARY: £9-£13 p/hour negotiable depending on experience**
**OVERVIEW**
We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Residential Support Worker to join our new Supported Accommodation Service for 18-21 year olds. The Senior Residential Support worker will be working on one site in London, that can potentially host up to three people reporting to the Registered Care Manager.
We offer a unique service to support young people develop skills and education as well as internships and apprenticeship scheme employment through our partnerships. We work with vulnerable young people, helping them acquire essential life skills and support them moving into independence.

**Roles and Responsibilities as a Senior Residential Support Worker**:
- Reporting to the Registered Care Manager.
- Assist Registered Manager in maintaining a high quality of care and support, which meets the physical, emotional, intellectual, social and cultural needs of the residents within the support and care of 24 Hour London Care
- Ensure residents are effectively helped to develop the skills and confidence needed for independent living.
- Work with residents offering supported opportunities for them to improve their quality of life, develop their skills and make decisions about their future.
- Ensure each young person's care plan is followed and amended as appropriate to reflect their changing needs.
- Act as a key worker for a young person and a positive role model to offer advice, guidance, and assistance where appropriate.
- Work in partnership with external agencies
- Reviewing and ensuring there is an excellent standard in recording and monitoring of necessary meetings with local authorities and other agencies.
- To contribute to the development and effective delivery of support within 24LC.
- Receive, record, and store information to improve communication and the delivery of the service.
**Requirements**:
- Level 3 / 4 Diploma for the Children and Young Peoples Workforce (Childrens Social Care pathway) or equivalent
- First Aid at Work or a commitment and ability to obtain within 6 months
- Minimum 3 years+ work experience in supported living
- Experience with dealing with Ofsted and/or CQC
- Experience with working with vulnerable young people
- Excellent communication skills both verbally and in writing
**What we are looking for**:
- Minimum 5 years+ experience in the care sector
- Knowledge of the regulatory framework for the field
- Demonstrates appropriate qualifications for the role
- Experience of working following established policies and procedures
- Good standard of written and verbal English, including writing reports and assessments.
**Desirable**:
- Experience of leading or supervising teams and/or volunteers, trainees, etc
**Recruitment Policy**
24 Hour London Care recruitment policies are in line with legislation and guidance related to the safeguarding and protection of children and vulnerable adults.
- Agree to carry out an enhanced DBS check, which will be renewed every year.
- Provide evidence of their right to work in the UK.
- Provide satisfactory references.
**Salary**: £9.00-£13.00 per hour
