Youth Worker

30 hours per week (including evenings and weekends as required)

£26,845 pro rata per annum (experience depending)

Initial 2 year fixed term contact

Stratton St Margaret Parish Council would like to open a new chapter of working towards supporting the Youth Provision within the Parish and are looking for a highly proactive and motivated individual to lead this, who has a passion for youth work and experience in this field. This is an exciting role within the Council and the successful applicant will be pivotal in setting up the youth provision network and establishing this core service.

The core role of this position is to deliver youth participation programmes through a community development approach to youth work within the Parish. To support young people’s transition to adulthood by providing learning opportunities that develop their personal and social skills, thus encouraging them to reach their full potential within their community.

The qualification requirement is: Level 3 (or above) Youth and Community Work qualification or similar qualification for work with young people, or working towards - and a deep understanding of Safeguarding legislation.

**Job Types**: Part-time, Fixed term contract
Contract length: 24 months
Part-time hours: 30 per week

**Salary**: £26,845.00 per year
