**Job Overview**:
**Responsibilities**:

- **Curriculum Development**:

- Develop and update curriculum materials in line with industry standards and advancements.
- Design engaging lesson plans that encompass both theoretical and practical aspects of painting and decorating.
- **Teaching and Training**:

- Deliver lectures and practical sessions to students, ensuring a dynamic and interactive learning environment.
- Provide hands-on training in various painting techniques, surface preparation, and finishing processes.
- Foster a positive and inclusive learning experience that caters to diverse student needs.
- **Assessment and Feedback**:

- Develop and administer assessments to evaluate student understanding and skill acquisition.
- Provide constructive feedback to students on their progress and areas for improvement.
- **Industry Engagement**:

- Stay updated on industry trends, materials, and techniques to enhance the relevance of the curriculum.
- Foster relationships with local businesses, professionals, and industry organizations to create opportunities for student placements and real-world experiences.
- **Student Support**:

- Offer guidance and support to students in both academic and personal development.
- Facilitate mentorship programs or workshops to enhance students' employability skills.
- **Resource Management**:

- Manage and maintain the painting and decorating workshop, ensuring a safe and well-equipped learning environment.
- Coordinate the procurement of materials and resources needed for effective teaching.

**Qualifications**:

- A degree or equivalent qualification in Painting and Decorating or a related field.
- Significant industry experience in painting and decorating.
- Teaching qualification or willingness to pursue one.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to inspire and motivate students.

**Preferred Skills**:

- Familiarity with industry-standard tools, materials, and safety practices.
- Experience in curriculum development and instructional design.
- Knowledge of emerging trends and technologies in the painting and decorating industry.
- Ability to adapt teaching methods to accommodate diverse learning styles.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Temp to perm

**Salary**: £28.00-£38.00 per hour
