- Georgian Gardens is a welcoming and vibrant school in the heart of our community in Rustington. We are two form entry primary school with 410 pupils and over 50 staff and are proud to have been judged Good in all areas by Ofsted. Are you the person that could lead our cleaning team from April 2023?
- This is a new role, the Team Leader will ensure that the whole school site is cleaned to a high standard. The job includes:
- Carrying out cleaning duties within the school
- Supervision of the cleaning team ensuring their work is completed to an agreed schedule and to the required standard. Encouraging and motivating staff.
- Ensuring an effective and cost efficient cleaning timetable is in place for both the school term and holidays.
- Organising cover for planned and unplanned absences. Working with the school around school events.
- Keyholder for the school.
- Monitoring and ordering cleaning stock and equipment.
- Ensuring all the cleaning team are aware of and working within policies and procedures relating to Health and Safety, Safeguarding, Site Security and any other policies that are appropriate.
- Undertake training and attend meetings when required,
- Working 20 hours a week 3.30pm-7.30pm. Monday to Friday term time only. This position also has an additional 5 weeks to be worked during the school holidays. The salary is a West Sussex Grade 3 pro rata £18,887-£19,264/£10.79-£10.98 per hour). This is a permanent position, probationary period will apply.- If you think you could be our special person you will have:
Experience of workplace cleaning (min 1 year)
- Experience of leading a team (desirable)
- A friendly and professional manner
- An understanding of the importance of Health and Safety in the workplace
- A flexible attitude and strong teamworking skills
- This is a demanding role that requires a good level of fitness
