Bath College is seeking a skilled and enthusiastic lecturer with proven industry experience to join us in our journey to deliver high quality teaching, learning and assessment to young people aged 16-19.- The College is excited to be able to offer this role. We would love for you to join us if this is the right fit for you.- You will need to possess excellent communication skills, demonstrate proven experience of delivering good or outstanding learning experiences, striving to provide creative and innovative approaches to teaching, learning and assessment. You should demonstrate a good understanding of the structure of education and training opportunities for young people in post-16 education, while having relevant and recent sector workplace experience. You will also be responsible for reviewing progress, providing pastoral care, promoting employer engagement and the reputation of the College to aid further growth of provision.- Key Responsibilities
- To deliver high standards of teaching and learning and to monitor assessment processes in accordance with awarding body requirements. To provide induction, initial assessment, advice and guidance to learners who are undertaking full time programmes of study.
- To deliver departmental requirements of core and additional programmes, specifically with a science (biology) focus.
- To support the delivery on the T Level Health, BTEC Level 3 Health and Social Care, and HE programmes as required by the demands of the curriculum.
- Producing schemes of work, lesson plans, assessment plans, learning materials and any other related activities that impact on the effectiveness of learning.
- To co-ordinate and maintain records of formative and summative assessments of students’ learning carried out by the course team.
- To communicate external examination entry and timetable arrangements to the course team and students. Deal with queries when supervising learners.
- To work pro-actively to forward the success and vision of the department and the College.
- Make a positive contribution to the college’s teaching and learning objectives, demonstrating a commitment to raising standards and sharing good practice. Participate in the promotional and marketing aspects of the college.

Skills, Knowledge & Expertise
- Relevant Degree in Health and/or Science, preferably Biology
- Teaching Qualification (or willingness to work towards a teaching qualification)
- GCSE (or equivalent) Maths and English at Grade C or above
