Dairy Assistant

**YARDS / MILKING POSITION**

We are looking to recruit two team members to our growing team on our dairy farm.

No experience is needed, as you would have full support from our established team, but an interest in farming, love of animals and the ability to follow protocols to ensure the highest standards are met is essential.

A variety of hours are available, on the following shift times:
AM 4.30am - 9am

PM 12.30pm - 5pm

Eve 7.30pm - 11.30pm

**Yards**
- Moving the cows from the sheds to the milking parlour.
- Operating a small loader to scrape passageways.
- Feeding any newborn calves.
- Monitoring our maternity pen (with full support from an experienced member of the team).

**Milking**
- Ensuring protocols are followed in line with our herd health plan to ensure we can provide the best care for our cows.
- Cleaning cows as they enter the parlour.
- Attaching units.
- Maintaining a clean working environment to meet the highest standards of hygiene.

A driving licence and your own transport is essential due to our location.

The shift pattern is flexible but the ability to work at some point on alternate weekends is essential.

This is a physical role, so a good level of fitness is required.

A competitive hourly rate to reflect experience, with a premium on evening shifts is available.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent
Part-time hours: 12 - 40 per week

**Salary**: Up to £25,000.00 per year
