We are currently looking for behaviour support assistants to work with a child with Social Emotional and Mental Health Needs at a specialist SEMH Primary school in the Greenwich borough.

**The Role**

In this role you will be supporting various pupils with Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs on a 1 to 1 and small group basis. Pupils attending the Pupil referral unit have been permanently excluded from mainstream school settings and you will needto be committed to improving the lives of those affected by emotional trauma or mental health.

They are ideally looking for someone with a background in youth work or previous experience in a Primary Behaviour Support role, who can provide support whilst maintaining high expectations.You need to have a positive and resilient approach with the abilityto build relationships and de-escalate situations.

This role is a long-term continuous contract that can lead to a permanent role.

**The School**

This specialist SEMH School is based in Greenwich and is specifically for primary aged children in the borough who have suffered trauma within their young lives.There is a highly committed team who hold the interests of each and every child at the heartof everything they do. In addition to the main school, they also have specialist provision for pupils from mainstream schools who have SEMH and behavioural needs and require additional support for a short time. They also have a specialist provision for pupilswith ASD and an outreach team. The school offers training and development for all their staff.
