Fabricator

**Fabricator**

Our client is in search of a Fabricator to join a large industrial Engineering company based near the Pencoed area

**The Role**:

- Must be able to read and work from fabrication drawings.
- Experience on fabricating steel structure and ducting projects
- Set up components for welding according to specifications (e.g. cut material using saws/power tools to match measurements)
- Operate angle grinders to prepare the parts that must be welded
- Plate/pipe preparation, using different methods (Oxy-fuel gas cutting & hand grinding), drilling etc.
- Align components using various measuring devices.
- Experience with Jigs (preferred)
- Maintain equipment in a condition that does not compromise safety

**Requirements**:

- Must have proven experience as a fabricator.
- Experience in using electrical or manual tools (saws, squares, calipers etc.)
- Knowledge of relative safety standards and the use protective clothing (face-shield, gloves etc.)
- Deftness and attention to detail
- Successful completion of a relevant apprenticeship program is preferred but not essential.
- Must have EN15614 & EN9606 certificates
- Build good, professional relationships with all staff.
- A good standard of attention to detail

**Job Type**: Apprenticeship

**Salary**: £17.00-£22.50 per hour
