**Position: Sales Supervisor**

**Job Purpose**:
As a Sales Supervisor at Direct Pets, you'll play a pivotal role in making our store more profitable by overseeing all aspects of its operations. Your primary focus will be on delivering exceptional customer service, leading your team to exceed sales targets, and fostering a positive and engaging work environment. You'll be instrumental in creating a store that customers and employees alike enjoy being a part of, ensuring it's a welcoming and fun place for all.

**Responsibilities**:

- **Team Leadership**:

- Lead and inspire the sales team, fostering a positive and enjoyable workplace culture.
- Provide direction, coaching, and support to team members for their professional development.
- Create a collaborative and high-performing team environment through effective communication and coaching.
- **Customer Service Excellence**:

- Ensure exceptional customer service standards are maintained at all times.
- Coach and mentor team members in delivering personalized and positive customer experiences.
- Demonstrate deep pet knowledge and expertise to provide valuable guidance to customers.
- **Sales Strategy & Performance**:

- Develop and implement effective sales strategies to drive revenue and meet targets.
- Monitor and analyze sales performance, collaborating with the team to develop sales plans.
- Motivate the team to improve service quality, meet sales targets, and maximize profitability.
- **Building Your Team**:

- Conduct thorough induction and training programs to ensure team competency and confidence.
- Communicate effectively with the team, providing updates on company operations and product changes.
- Drive continuous improvement and accountability within the team.
- **Rewarding and Recognizing Achievements**:

- Actively seek opportunities to praise and recognize individual and team achievements.
- Monitor team engagement and utilize recognition opportunities to celebrate progress.
- Solicit and analyze customer feedback to identify areas for improvement and recognize outstanding performance.
- **Product Knowledge and Training**:

- Ensure team members are knowledgeable about products, promotions, and sales techniques through continuous training.
- Lead regular briefings and training sessions to enhance overall store knowledge.
- Support and monitor training programs to ensure effectiveness.
- **Operational Support**:

- Assist in day-to-day operational tasks, including opening/closing procedures, cash handling, and security protocols.
- Ensure adherence to policies and procedures to maintain smooth store operations.
- **Inventory & Sales Floor Management**:

- Efficiently process deliveries to minimize product availability time.
- Manage overstocks to ensure optimal stock availability and presentation.
- Maintain high standards of presentation and merchandising throughout the sales floor.
- **Customer Feedback and Improvements**:

- Gather and analyze customer feedback to drive service, product, and promotion improvements.
- Collaborate with management and relevant teams to implement changes based on customer insights.

**Join Our Team**:
**Job Type**: Permanent

Pay: £12.50 per hour

Expected hours: 35 per week

**Benefits**:

**Education**:

- GCSE or equivalent (preferred)

**Experience**:

- Retail sales: 3 years (preferred)
- Customer service: 3 years (preferred)
