Groundwork Operative

**Groundwork Operative** required. Our client is a leading renewable energy design, installation, and maintenance contractor, specialising in heat pumps, solar PV, and biomass systems who are looking for a Groundwork Operative to join theirengineering team based in Surrey working on large residential and high-end commercial projects. Typical projects include carrying out ground works and working on the pipework installation of large renewable heating systems including biomass boiler and heatpumps.

My client are recruiting a groundwork operative for the installation of ground and water source heat pumps. Heat pump groundworks include the installation of ground array, boreholes, energy blades and lake loops. Full training can be provided. A companyvan for company use is provided.

**Groundwork OperativePosition Overview**
- Install hydraulic HPE/MDE pipework that forms the heat collector of ground or water source heat pumps.
- Install headering pipework for borehole array collection/connection into heat pump.
- Carry out electrofusion and butt welding of plastic pipe.
- Install the inspection of manifold and pits.
- Pressure test and certify the installation.
- Flush and fill large hydraulic systems with water and glycol solutions.

**Groundwork OperativePosition Requirements**
- Driver's license
- no more than 3 points.
- Works within the building industry.
- Desire to learn about renewable energy systems and get into the industry.
- Happy to work outside.

Desirable but not essential:

- Experience/qualifications in installing hydraulic HPE, MDE and/or headering pipework.
- Experience/qualifications in electrofusion and butt welding.
- Experience/qualifications in installing manifold and pits.
- Able to read and understand schematic diagrams and instructions.
- CSCS Card.
- CITB SSSTS Qualification.
- Forklift Qualification.
- Experience in renewable, construction and gas industries.

**Groundwork OperativePosition Remuneration**
- £20,000 - £27,000
