**Job Summary**:
We are seeking dedicated and detail-oriented individuals to join our team as a Cleaner at various local colleges. As a vital member of our facilities team, the College Cleaner plays a crucial role in maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for students, staff, and visitors.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Cleaning and Sanitizing**:

- Perform daily cleaning tasks, including but not limited to sweeping, mopping, dusting, and vacuuming classrooms, offices, common areas, and other designated spaces.
- Ensure proper sanitization of high-touch surfaces, such as doorknobs, light switches, and handrails, in accordance with health and safety guidelines.
- **Waste Management**:

- Collect and dispose of waste and recycling materials in designated areas, ensuring compliance with college recycling policies.
- Monitor and report any issues related to overflowing bins or improper disposal.
- **Restroom Maintenance**:

- Clean and sanitize restrooms regularly, replenishing supplies as needed.
- Report any maintenance or repair needs in restrooms promptly.
- **Floor Care**:

- Perform floor care duties, including buffing, waxing, and polishing, to maintain a clean and professional appearance.
- Identify and report any damage or hazards on floors that may require attention.
- **Assistance with Setup and Events**:

- Assist in setting up classrooms and other spaces for events, meetings, and activities.
- Collaborate with colleagues to ensure spaces are arranged according to requirements.
- **Compliance with Safety Regulations**:

- Adhere to health and safety regulations and guidelines, utilizing appropriate cleaning materials and equipment.
- Report any safety concerns or incidents to the supervisor immediately.
- **Communication**:

- Maintain open communication with the facilities team regarding any issues, supplies needed, or maintenance requirements.
- Provide excellent customer service when interacting with students, staff, and visitors.

**Qualifications**:

- Proven experience in a similar cleaning role, preferably in an educational or institutional setting.
- Knowledge of cleaning procedures, equipment, and materials.
- Ability to follow health and safety guidelines and protocols.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to work independently.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Physical stamina and the ability to perform tasks that involve lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
