Do you have some spare time in the morning and/or afternoon? Would you love a role where you can be a hero to young children and adults? If so, we’re looking for a School Crossing Patrol who want to make a difference at Wheatcroft Avenue, Scarborough.

**The role**

All our school crossing patrols provide a really valuable service to the local community by ensuring that children and adults are able to cross the road safely on their route to and from school.

**Your duties will include**:
- Carry out a ‘pre-duty’ Health and Safety risk assessment to ensure the site is safe to work at, and reporting any concerns identified to the School Crossing Patrol Officer.
- Control and marshalling of children at the crossing point
- Stopping traffic on the Highway by using ‘STOP’ sign

Duty times are: 8.15am to 9.00am and 14.55pm to 3.35pm (Term time only)

We offer flexibility, so if you can only work mornings or cannot work every week day we would still be interested in hearing from you.

**What you will bring**

If you are customer focused, with great communication skills both verbal and written, then we would love to hear from you.

An enhanced DBS is required for this role, the cost of which is met by the employer.
