**Overview**

We are looking for an organised, detail-oriented, impact-driven individual to join us at Targeted Provision as an Intern in the Schools Team, helping us to put in place personalised support for vulnerable young people across the UK.

**Who we are**

We are a fast growing organisation committed to improving education for looked after young people, young people with SEND, and young people with emotional, behavioural or mental health needs. We work with schools, local authorities and care homes around the country to provide targeted, holistic education to the young people who need it most and who far too often slip through the cracks.

**Role Description**

As an Intern in the Schools Team you will be providing administrative and operational support whilst coordinating specialist tuition for young people across the UK. A large portion of this support will be put in place as part of the National Tutoring Programme, designed to support young people particularly affected by COVID-19 school closures. The team will receive referrals from schools and it will be your responsibility to process all the necessary information, upload it to our system and find a tutor to deliver the sessions.

**High Level Tasks**
- Supporting each member of the Schools Team to process referrals as efficiently as possible
- Becoming an expert in our tools and processes
- Ensure internal records are maintained and data kept up to date and accurate
- Being the first point of contact for all calls to the School Team’s direct phone line
- Monitoring multiple inboxes
- Working closely with internal teams
**Required**
- IT literacy, particularly familiarity with Airtable, google workspace or other CRM tools.
- Strong multi-tasking and organisation skills, experience managing a busy inbox and multiple projects and deadlines would be an asset.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Meticulous and detail orientated
- Experience or proven interest in education and supporting young people.
- Ability and desire to learn in a fast-paced environment.
- Drive to take on responsibility and contribute both to the role and to our wider goals as an organisation.

**Desired**
- Knowledge and understanding of GDPR and processing confidential information
- Knowledge and understanding of safeguarding in education.
- Experience of delivering excellent customer service.
- Experience working in a start-up or similar environment.
