**Senior Garment Technologist**

**Manchester**

Are you an experienced senior garment technologist ready to take your next steps? Here you will manage a garment technologist and have the opportunity to develop products that meet and surpass customer expectations by ensuring good quality, fit for purpose, innovative and safe products whilst maximising sales and profit in line with the group’s business strategy.

A really exciting role, this position works in partnership with the Group Production Manager, supporting Sales, Design and Production teams across our clients’ offices.

**You will be**:

- Individual leadership on product quality and performance
- Prioritise the daily workload within their team and ensure critical dates are met
- Manages supply base relationship
- Takes lead in risk assessing individual products and using best practice expertise to meet and surpass customers’ expectations
- Responsible for self-development
- Responsible for coaching, developing and mentoring direct reports
- Ensure products are approved and developed in line with critical path to minimise shipment delays
- Ensure factory practices and procedures are fit for purpose
- Maximise speed to market through efficient use of offshore offices, appropriate supply base, accurate communication channels and innovative processing techniques

**You will have**:

- Good understanding of the product development process within a commercial environment
- Commercial understanding of the specific market and experience of working with a global supply chain
- Effective negotiating/influencing skills
- Knowledge of the manufacturing market and supply options within it
- Comprehensive knowledge of quality management systems
- Adaptability to learn other systems/developments
- Comprehensive technical and engineering knowledge of specific product area
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written
- Customer Knowledge of standards/manual requirements to drive product excellence
